At myPhysio we strongly believe in a hands on approach. Inflammation can leave muscle, tendon or ligament tissue stuck down by scar tissue. Our belief is to release these adhesions through manual techniques and then stretch or strengthen accordingly.

Joints can also become stiff and we know that efficient conditioning can not take place unless they have been freed up. We use various mobilsation techniques to achieve optimal movement of these joints. The joints which we work are:

  • Cervical (Neck) facet 
  • Shoulder  
  • Elbow
  • Wrist and Hands
  • Lumbar (Lower back) facet
  • Sacroiliac Joints
  • Hip 
  • Knee
  • Foot and Ankle

Stretching and Strengthening

When muscles lengthen they tend to weaken, when they shorten they tend to tighten. A prescriptive list of appropriate stretches and strengthening exercises will be given.
